Amherst College would not be where it is, or what it is, today without the contributions of women. 50 years ago, the decision to go coed opened up a significant new chapter for what was already a storied institution. Since then, Amherst has continued to evolve, while still maintaining the threads of distinction that make it unique. 50CO celebrates the bold trailblazers who pushed coeducation forward along with the subsequent generations of women who continue to add new chapters to the story.
